Dear Ralph Nader… Please Don’t Run Again
Dear Ralph Nader,
Please don’t run again this year… I am begging you.
First let me start out by saying that every American owes you a debt of gratitude for your countless non-profit organizations, how you’ve fought tirelessly for consumers and the common man. Whenever I get in my car, I know that I am safer because of you.
But Ralph, lets be serious, there is no chance in hell that you are going to get elected as president in ‘08. Aside from the fact that the Republicans and Democrats make it impossible for any third party candidates to get elected, the average American treats the General Election like a popularity contest. They watch a debate or two… maybe and they choose whoever they “like”. Ron Paul has raised over 10 million dollars. Over half of that in one day. Despite having gotten more votes than Guiliani in almost every primary, and even he can’t get a real shot at being president.
You remember what happen the time before last when you ran? Yes I know there is no concrete evidence that Al Gore lost the 2000 Election because of you, but we can’t be sure. Haven’t we suffered enough? Its been a long 7 years Ralph. The constitution has been tossed aside. Checks and balances are a joke. We might or might not be in a recession.
I don’t have to remind you of what our options are for the next four to eight years. Romney panders and changes positions more than a porn star. McCain thinks we should stay in Iraq for another 100 years. Huckabee thinks gay marriage is the gate way drug to bestiality. Hilary is… well she can’t be trusted and for one Ann Coulter is willing to support her candidacy. Obama is our last hope. I have to admit, I too was not completely in favor of Obama for President given the fact that he hasn’t been in politics long enough to show that he can’t be corrupted. But these are tough times and the alternatives are abysmal. If he wins the nomination over Hilary, we can’t have you splitting the vote.
Put your political aspirations aside this year Ralph. Imagine four more years of this! PLEASE for the sake of our nation, reconsider.
